The Government of Jamaica commissioned an international tender for the construction of a housing quarter in the city of Longville. The contract was awarded to the Israeli development and manufacturing concern ASHTROM who, subsequently, hired the services of TEDEM for detailed design of all corresponding infrastructure topics.

The quarter under consideration (2,500 dwelling units), located in a hilly-mountainous area, was planned to be characterized by a low cost construction price tag. The consulting services required the addressing of all components from terrain leveling and preparation for positioning the structures, through detailed design of internal roads and traffic schemes, up to infrastructure systems coordination and top oversight during construction.
