Services Provided:
  • Advisory services for the outline plan preparation and approval procedures, including preparation of transportation annex to the outline plan.
  • Preliminary physical design of roads and traffic of the whole expanded quarter.


The MISGAV Regional Council is located in the Lower Galilee region, integrating several rural communities and settlements. The PELECH settlement is subject to a planned expansion in the near future.
 
The project deals with an integral planning and design of the overall roads system for the expansion (340 dwelling units) of the town of PELECH, including a new access road to the towns of PELECH and TUVAL. Project approximate scope was as follows:
  • Internal roads length: 5.0 km;
  • Access road length: 3.0 km in mountainous terrain.

TEDEM has been chosen as the chief designer of the road and parking system of the entire settlement, starting from preliminary design of the site road system and plots excavation works, drainage and sewage topics, etc.

The components addressed by TEDEM were the following:

  • Preliminary integral design of the system;
  • Preparation of a transport annex to the outline plan dealing with PELECH road system;
  • Preparation of an outline plan for a new access road to towns of PELECH and TUVAL;
  • Physical and traffic design of the road system;
  • Collection of statutory material and preparation of an outline plan;
  • Accompanying the outline plan preparation procedure, including coordination with local and regional authorities and private owners;
  • Preparation of preliminary cost estimates.

The project was commissioned to TEDEM by Industrial Building Corporation Ltd. (IBC) in the framework of being awarded with the promotion of the settlement's expansion.
